Disobedient Objects

Whilst attending a meeting at the V&A we took the opportunity to check out Disobedient Objects. Showing until 1st February 2015 this exhibition is the first to examine the powerful role of objects in movements for social change. It demonstrates how political activism drives a wealth of design ingenuity and collective creativity that defy standard definitions of art and design.
Amongst the DIY gas mask instructions and Guerrilla Girls there was some first rate design, from the anti-capitalist banners to the Syrian graffiti shown below. Certainly worth a visit. With design support by Barnbrook the supporting marketing is also really nicely conceived.
